~! Happy Holidays !~

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their incredible support in 2011!  This has been an amazing and fun ride for the last couple of months and I am really looking forward to working on new creations in the New Year.  Happy Holidays!!!  I am closing shop just before Christmas to take some time to spend with my family.  As many of you know, our adopted and much loved Rottweiler did not make it to the holiday season.  We miss him a great deal, but knew in our hearts it was time for him to go.  Shortly thereafter, our mini Dachshund, Digger, required emergency surgery on his neck.  He has a very slow and quiet recovery ahead of him.  We thank you all for your kind thoughts and well wishes.

I am closing off custom orders until the New Year and I will re-open promptly in the New Year.  I am hoping to get some time to work on many of the projects that are sitting overdue on my elf desk and also to start building up some inventory for my Doll accessories shop.  I will be checking in with my shops for any communications, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

A recent custom order had me thinking light and feminine and I came up with this version of Wwuggs for a lovely lady with a really lovely girl:

I also have a small number of boots and accessories to add to my Etsy shop this evening followed by another small grouping on Monday or Tuesday.  Here’s a peek:

Peace and many joys to you during the holiday season!  Thank you for stopping by!

Keeping busy with custom orders

More Wwuggs and custom Blythe accessories available in my Etsy shop this evening!  I am trying to stick to a schedule by listing a small handful of items, boots and accessories, in my shop each Saturday night.  Yes, I am taking on custom orders!  I would be thrilled should you like to place an order for a custom pair of Wwuggs for your girl.  If you are interested, please contact me through my Etsy shop.  At this time, I am about a week away from starting any new orders.  The boots take quite a bit of time to complete as they go through a number of stages during their construction.   Here is a snap of a recent custom order completed for a very special customer:

More goodies are going into my shop this evening and here is a wonderful collage of some of the images.  I am using a terrific utility from BigHugeLabs called Mosaic Maker which can be set to link into Flickr sets and collections to produce ‘mosaic’ images.  You can find this utility at

Lots of cool things to put in my Etsy shop this evening.  I completed another batch of handpainted eyechips with pretty soft colours and also some bright and unusual colour combinations.  Here’s a snap I took today of the completed group.

This week, I also completed some great new pairs of Wwuggs along with co-ordinated accessories that can be used as hair adornments, clothing accessories, or even worn by you.  Experiment, have fun and style your girl in new ways!  So many possibilities!

Thank you for stopping by!

I continue to make progress on my Wwuggs by Wwendalynne and I have finessed the design and pattern to the point where I am getting more excited about the results.  I will be working on creating a number of pairs of Wwuggs to be made available in my Etsy shop in a variety of colours in suede and smooth leather finishes.  The actual process of making doll shoes is quite slow and it is completed in a number of painstaking stages, or at least it is for me until I become more efficient and adept at my technique :)   This is an example of my latest in a soft dark grey leather with overstitching and little pearls at the top of the boot shaft for added elegant interest.

My model today is Audra.  Audra is a 2002 Takara Blythe, Aztec Arrival Inspired (AA) and part of my early Takara Blythe collection.  In the picture below she is wearing her Wwuggs and an incredible outfit made by my dear friend Abi Monroe at Taylor Couture also on Etsy.  If you are looking for some yummy sophisticated fashions for Blythe in gorgeous luxurious fabrics, you can visit her shop at:

Oh, and my mailbox is always met with great enthusiasm when I am waiting for packages.  Yes, I received my shipment from China so I will also start making handpainted custom eyechips for my shop too!

Yes, I have been busy creating a pattern for some casual boots for Blythe which will soon be available in my Etsy shop.  I am still modifying and fine-tuning my pattern, but I have the basic pieces down and today I created this prototype in a beautiful and luxurious ultrasuede.  Mingo decided these ‘Wwuggs’ would look amazing with her dress and immediately volunteered to be my model!

I am very excited about the gorgeous goodies heading my way so I can add pretty embellishments to my footwear designs.  I am also working on a couple of techniques to create a different type of custom sole which will be featured on later designs.  So many ideas…

Animal Kingdom: Oxidized Copper Bracelet with Handmade Lampwork Beads

My Etsy jewelry shop opened in October, 2010 and it offers handmade artisan style jewelry featuring lampwork glass beads from some of the best glass bead artists out there.   This bracelet is an example of  my wire-wrapping techniques all done up in yummy antique copper.  It gives off great warmth and old world charm.  I frequently incorporate vintage findings in my designs as well with anything metal having great appeal for me… not to mention German glass beads, lucite, and..   good thing they are small…

You can browse my shop by visiting the direct link under the Jewelry heading.

Thank you for stopping by!
